MYSTERIOUS WORLDS

Were nothing is as it seems

Vision of House in Flames

In December 1990 I was living with my parents and my little sister when one day while sitting at the kitchen table smoking a cigarette I looked up at the kitchen sink and saw it engulfed in flames. I can see the flames rise up to the ceiling. I walked to the living room and looked out the window and saw my fiance looking up at the window in total shock and hysterical. I began hitting the window and calling his name but then suddenly he disappeared. I was in shock and wondered how did I get over here I was just sitting at the kitchen table. For the next 2 weeks for some reason I would tell my mom we needed to get dad out of the house. My dad was a heavy man and could hardly walk. He was 65 yrs old. So my mom would tell me you're nuts but I insisted we take my dad to his brother's house for the holidays, but my mom wouldn't listen. Everybody thought I was nuts.

On December 29,1990 at 5:00 a.m. my mom woke me up from a deep sleep and she told me go check the hallway, "I hear the fire alarm." So I did. When I opened the kitchen door, the hallway was full of smoke so I closed the door and told my mom get dad and my sister out of the house. (We lived on the second floor.) I quickly ran and got my two-week old baby girl. My mom told me, "Get the baby out. I'll get your dad." My sister didn't want to leave my mom. I ran down the stairs thinking mom and dad will be out soon. But the minute I got to bottom and turned around the stairs were engulfed in fire and the front door was covered in debris and flames. I had to climb out the window with the baby.

The fire department arrived. I was hysterical looking for my family when all of a sudden someone grabbed me; it was my 10 yr. old sister who had to jump out the window because the only exit by the kitchen was on fire. I asked her, "Where's mom and dad?" She said, "They're still in there." I ran to the front of the house calling my mom and dad. When I heard a voice calling me, I couldn't see anyone, so under all the debris in front of the house laid my mother who jumped from the window. The paramedics quickly saw her and before they took her I asked, where's dad. She said, "He's still in there." Sadly dad passed away in the fire. He was found by the kitchen sink where I saw the visions of the fire a week before. If only everyone would've believed in me and let me take dad out of the house for the holidays.
